Reston, VA, February 23, 2017 — Ms. Kimmy Duong, Vice Chair/Chief Financial Officer of Pragmatics, Inc. and President of The Kimmy Foundation, has pledged $2 million to fund scholarships at the University of Maryland to support engineering and business students.
Ms. Kimmy Duong emigrated from Vietnam to the United States on April 29, 1975, just before the fall of Saigon. She often reflects on the generosity, love, and kindness that she has received in America.
Ms. Duong noted, “No other country in the world can give immigrants the opportunities that this country can. It is important to show our appreciation. I feel that everything I have today, I owe to the opportunities I received in the USA and it is important for me to give back. My whole family believes the same. We are proud to contribute to advances in technology as well as education.”
